We have many social occasions in our life and usually we tend to celebrate these occasions with our relatives, friends and other colleagues. Similarly, marriage is a very personal occasion in individual's life yet, it being one of the major social institutions, it has many social implications

Shri. Shyamrao Desai, popularly known as Aaba, one of the well wishers of 'rashtraseva', on the occasion of his son's marriage, thought of a unique way to express and share his happiness by taking note of appreciation of some voluntary organizations working with the marginalized sections of our society.

Listed below are such organizations working on different issues and to whom the donations were offered.

1. Sagar Putra Sanghatna: Working with the fisher-folk community in Konkan.
   
   
2. Bhatke Vimukta Vikas Parishad: Working with the Nomadic Tribes in Maharashtra.
   
   
3. Utthan Trust: Working for tribal rights and on the issue of rehabilitation of 'Devdasi'.
   
   
4. P.P. Golwalkar Guruji chariatable Trust: Working on providing medical facilities to the unreached villages in konkan region.
   
   
5. Aikya-Wardhak Mitra Mandal and
   
   
6. Sai Mitra Mandal
   
   

A month before the marriage, the team of 'rashtraseva' personally visited these organizations and collected the detailed information of their interventions. rashtraseva, through its segment Community Outreach, had organized an event after the marriage ceremony, wherein a brief orientation of the above mentioned organizations was given by Mr.Ajay Govle to one and all present there.

This idea not only limits up to making merely monetary contributions, but also emphasis the concept of social responsibility, as initiated by Aaba, living scope for replication of the same by some more people.
